MKB6-1 is (Thorny Devil x Titanic), seeds by Mike Halloran, grown out by Ed Thaubald, now being proven here in Duluth! We selected this one for my wife to name, and chose a bloom that was somewhat in the ballpark of "Maroon and Gold", given that I've married into a family of University of Minnesota fans! We shorthand this one as "MOM" in our hybridizing, at least for now, until it has a proper name. Not sure about the foliage yet; I marked it as possibly semi/sev or evergreen this spring, but we will have to keep watching. 27" height, 5 to 5.25" blooms so far up here. Earlier blooms in '22 were marono and gold, and seemed to shift more towards magenta & yellow later in the season. Had nicer teeth than most in '22 as well, so encouraged to see how it matures here in 4b!
